Lagos–Kano Flight Returns to Lagos After Heavy Rain and Severe Turbulence
Passengers on a flight from Lagos to Kano experienced a frightening journey after heavy rain prevented the aircraft from landing in Kano. The flight, expected to last about one hour and 15 minutes, reportedly remained in the air for about three and a half hours. The aircraft turned back to Lagos after runway lights in Kano reportedly went off during the downpour. A passenger said the return journey involved severe turbulence, causing panic inside the cabin. Some passengers prayed, while two people reportedly fainted before the aircraft landed safely in Lagos.
