NFL Free Agent Miles Sanders Charged With DUI in Pennsylvania
Veteran NFL running back Miles Sanders has been charged with driving under the influence and careless driving after an arrest in Churchill Borough, near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Police said Sanders was found slumped over and intermittently unconscious in a vehicle stopped in the middle of the road. Officers alleged that he performed poorly during a field sobriety test, smelled strongly of alcohol and later tested positive on a breath test. Marijuana was also reportedly found in the vehicle. The 29-year-old previously played for the Philadelphia Eagles, Carolina Panthers and Dallas Cowboys. His lawyer described the matter as private and said no further comment would be made before the preliminary hearing scheduled for October 28.
