Daily Devotional: Restoring Hope – April 20, 2026
Theme: Reversing Hopelessness Memory Verse: “But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.” (Psalm 3:3) In John 5:2–9 we meet a man bedridden for 38 years. He had lost all hope until Jesus commanded him, “Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.” In an instant his infirmity and despair vanished. On one journey I found a pregnant sister stranded with a broken car. Her baby had been still for six days and doctors planned an evacuation. I prayed, and life returned to her womb. Today that child worships joyfully. Nothing is impossible with God. If you face a situation that seems beyond hope, trust the One who makes rivers in the desert.
