Falconets Target First U-20 Women’s World Cup Title at Poland 2026

Nigeria’s Falconets will make their 12th consecutive appearance at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup when the 2026 tournament takes place in Poland. They remain the only African side to have played at every edition since their debut in 2002. The team have come close to lifting the trophy before, finishing runners-up in 2010 and 2014. They also placed fourth in 2012, while their 2024 campaign ended in the Round of 16. The Falconets qualified for Poland 2026 after beating Malawi 3-2 on aggregate in the final African qualifying round. They will now aim to become the first African country to win the U-20 Women’s World Cup.
