Can an Electric Rice Cooker Handle Beans, Noodles and More?
I’ve been wondering how useful an electric rice cooker can be beyond making plain rice. Some people say they use theirs for beans, noodles, vegetables, porridge and other one-pot meals, even without extra cooking functions. Have you successfully cooked beans, stew, soup or spaghetti in a regular rice cooker? How practical is it, and does it save money compared with using a gas cooker? I’d also like to know whether you’d recommend one for someone living alone. What unusual meals have you made with yours?
