Determined to survive, she learned to use her foot to turn the faucet and splash water on her face. She drank just enough to stay alive while waiting for rescue. Her cat, Phoebe, also endured the ordeal without food or water. Her brother grew worried after days of unanswered calls and asked local deputies for a welfare check. On June 10, they found her semi-conscious in the tub. She was treated for severe dehydration and pressure sores, then moved to rehabilitation. She now plans to live with her brother in Georgia as she rebuilds her strength.
