Recognize Jesus as Lord for Deeper Worship
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you are saved (Romans 10:9). But knowing Him only as “the Son of God” without recognizing His lordship keeps Him abstract and distant. After His resurrection and ascension, believers never spoke of Him casually. Saul of Tarsus fell under His authority on the road to Damascus (Acts 9:4–5), and John collapsed before the glorified Christ in Revelation 1:17. Both encounters show that true vision of Jesus demands reverence and honor. When you acknowledge Jesus as Lord, your fellowship with Him deepens. Your reverence grows. Even brief prayers become powerful because you relate to Him by His true name and authority. Prayer: Dear Father, thank You for unveiling the reality of Jesus’ lordship. I honor Him with reverence and walk in the power of His name. Amen. Further study: Philippians 2:9–11; Acts 2:36; 1 Corinthians 8:6; Acts 10:36.
