Promethean Signs Partnerships With Three US Firms for Nigerian Mining Projects
Promethean Resources says it has entered partnerships with three US companies to support its mining expansion in Nigeria, focusing on lithium, tin, gold and iron ore. Vermeer Corporation is considering the supply of precision mining equipment. Renewvia Energy is expected to explore solar power, battery storage and mini-grid systems for mining and processing sites. Terra Industries would provide security technology, including surveillance systems and unmanned aerial platforms, with proposed early deployments in Plateau and Kaduna states. The agreements are at different stages, and the announcement does not confirm that equipment or systems have begun operating. No total investment figure has been disclosed. Nigerians may want clear commitments on jobs, local mineral processing, host-community benefits and completed projects.
