Speak God’s Word: The Power of Life-Giving Words
Proverbs 18:21 reminds us that the tongue carries the power of life and death. Speaking God’s Word strengthens our faith, renews our minds and reminds us of His promises. Jesus spoke to storms, sickness and evil spirits. He also taught us to speak in faith. Rather than disqualify ourselves with fear or negative confessions, we should use words that reflect God’s grace and purpose. Consider creating a “Say Not” list of words that feed doubt, defeat or hopelessness. Our words reveal what fills our hearts, so anchoring our hearts in God’s Word helps our speech reflect the mind of Christ.
