ABSU Anatomy HOD Denies ₦1.5m MBBS Exam Extortion Allegation, Seeks Fair Hearing

I deny the allegation that I collected, demanded or benefited from ₦1.5 million from students in exchange for passing their MBBS examinations. I maintain that the claim should be tested with credible evidence, including the identities of the alleged payers, payment records, messages, witnesses and proof linking me to any transaction. I welcome an impartial investigation by the state government and I am ready to appear before the panel, provide documents and answer questions. My role in the examination was limited to setting and scoring one theory question among assessments handled by several lecturers. I ask that my suspension not be treated as proof of guilt while the investigation is ongoing. I also request a fair hearing, access to the evidence against me and a thorough review of how the allegation emerged and was circulated publicly.
