Imota LCDA Opens 40-Bed Primary Health Centre in Oke Lisa, Lagos
Imota LCDA in Lagos has inaugurated a 40-bed Primary Health Centre in the Oke Lisa community. The facility was supported by the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals as part of activities marking the council chairman's first year in office. The centre has male and female wards, a paediatric ward, laboratory, labour theatre, water system, security post and generating set. It is expected to operate round the clock and provide maternal and child healthcare, immunisation, family planning, health education, medical outreaches and ILERA EKO insurance enrolment. Residents said the facility would reduce the difficulty of accessing care, especially for mothers, children and older people. The council also said it plans to build a perimeter fence for the centre before the end of the year.
