It aims to empower survivors to speak their truth and to raise public awareness of the crisis facing women and girls in our society. I’m Emmanuella. I lost my parents young and relied on family to keep my dreams alive. I built a career in accounting and thought I had overcome my hardest trials—until someone I trusted betrayed me. After the assault, I was overwhelmed by fear, guilt, and flashbacks. Reporting to the police led me to the WARIF Centre, where I received free medical care and counselling. Safe sessions and group therapy helped me reclaim my confidence and see that the violence was never my fault. My healing continues, but today I stand stronger.
