How Home Investments Drive Development Across Igboland
If you travel across Igbo land, development is not confined to cities like Onitsha, Aba or Nnewi. Many villages also show modern features usually expected only in urban centres. In my view, this reflects a deep culture of enterprise and responsibility. Igbo people often begin as apprentices and eventually channel their earnings into building homes, roads, schools and boreholes in their home communities. I believe town unions and age grades strengthen these efforts, turning individual investments into collective projects that modernise villages, preserve identity and provide a safety net for families.
