Is Islam Really Pro-Black? Unmasking Islamist Propaganda in Pan-African Discourse
I’ve noticed a trend claiming Christianity is a white man’s religion. Memes show a Black Christian seeing a white reflection and mock their faith. At the same time, some activists push Islam as the true pro-Black religion. Yet they go silent on atrocities against Black Sudanese by Arab-backed forces. This double standard exposes an agenda. Islam itself has a history of anti-Black rhetoric and practices. From the use of “Kafir” as a slur to the Trans-Saharan slave trade and twisted accounts of the Zanj Rebellion. I welcome sincere Pan-Africanists who want to revive African traditions. But I reject any “pro-Black” rhetoric that masks Islamist propaganda.
