Aliko Dangote says having a son is not a priority, arguing that his three daughters are fully capable of sustaining his family’s legacy. Speaking in a television interview, the businessman addressed expectations in Kano society that wealthy families should have male heirs to continue the family name. He said such matters are in God’s hands and warned that having a son does not automatically protect a family’s reputation. Dangote said his daughters have shown him enough to believe they can continue his work.
