Lufthansa Group Plans Eurowings Entry into Nigeria Next Year

Lufthansa Group says it plans to expand its Nigerian operations next year by introducing Eurowings to the market. The airline is expected to operate Boeing 737-series aircraft and improve air links between Nigeria and Germany. The proposal was discussed in Abuja during a meeting between Lufthansa Group representatives and Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo. The talks also focused on reviewing the Nigeria–Germany Bilateral Air Services Agreement, which was signed in 2010. German transport authorities are reviewing the agreement ahead of a possible update and ratification. The aviation ministry said it remains open to international airlines seeking to invest and expand legitimate operations in Nigeria.
