I’ve been in a talking stage with a girl who always seeks reassurance. One Monday she called to say she was nearby, so I paused my deliveries to meet her at a lounge. After a few minutes together, I got a call about a ₦7,000 job. I asked her to wait while I handled it, but it took hours. By 6pm she left saying she was going home. We planned to meet again another day. The next day a friend told me he saw her at the lounge with another guy. I confronted her, and she said she had no airtime to call me. Two days later, she went back to the same guy without telling me. I even joked with him, borrowed his hotspot, and walked away. I still don’t know what he said to win her over. I’d like to understand where I went wrong.
