Delta Police Bust Fake Dollar Syndicate, Seize 1,600 Counterfeit Notes

The Delta State Police arrested four men in Asaba on June 9 after stopping an unregistered vehicle linked to a fake currency ring. Officers recovered 1,600 counterfeit US dollar bills and military camouflage during a follow-up raid at their hideout. On the same day, operatives of the Violent Crime Response Unit raided Owaliru and Alihame communities in Ika North-East LGA and apprehended two women with significant quantities of illicit substances, including GH Gold, Colorado, Cannabis, and Canadian Loud. Preliminary investigations indicate they were distributing these drugs locally. The Commissioner of Police commended the intelligence-led operations and reaffirmed the command’s commitment to dismantling criminal networks and ensuring the safety of all residents in Delta State.
