Operatives of the Delta State Police Command tracked a kidnapping syndicate in Ogwashi-Uku, Aniocha South LGA. A firefight ensued when officers arrived at the hideout, resulting in two suspects being fatally wounded and two female victims rescued. Authorities recovered N4.2 million believed to be ransom money, an AK-47 rifle, and 19 rounds of ammunition. The operation was carried out by the Special Anti-Kidnapping and Cyber-Crime Squad in collaboration with the military, according to the state police spokesperson, SP Bright Edafe. Commissioner of Police CP Yemi Oyeniyi praised the professionalism and bravery of all operatives involved. He urged citizens to continue providing credible and timely information to support ongoing efforts against violent crime.
