If Financial Stability Matters in Dating, Shouldn’t the Standard Apply to Both Partners?
Financial stability can matter when people choose a life partner, but the expectation should be fair to both men and women. Being unemployed or struggling financially does not make anyone worthless. Jobs can disappear and businesses can fail. What matters is a person’s character, work ethic, sense of responsibility and willingness to grow. Choosing to build with someone is a personal decision. However, no one should be pressured to ignore clear signs of entitlement, lack of direction or unwillingness to contribute. Fairness means applying the same standard when choosing a partner and when asking to be chosen.
