What the Bible Really Says About Dinosaurs
Though the Bible never uses the modern term “dinosaur,” it describes giant, reptile-like creatures created by God. Passages in Job and Psalms refer to “behemoth,” “leviathan,” and other great sea monsters, suggesting these may be early orders of life whose fossil remains we now unearth. Genesis 1:21 records God making “great sea creatures,” and the word “replenish” in Genesis 1:28 implies the earth was refilled after a prior waste. This allows for ages before Adam and fits with the presence of massive creatures on ancient earth.
