UNDP’s United Nations Volunteers programme is seeking a Communication Assistant to support digital campaigns and youth engagement initiatives tied to the Sustainable Development Goals. This fully remote, 12-month assignment with the Global Youth Team offers hands-on experience in social media management, graphic design, multimedia storytelling and advocacy for marginalized communities. The role involves creating compelling digital content, designing campaign visuals, coordinating online events, and supporting global advocacy projects like Generation17. You will work with UNDP’s Open and Inclusive Public Sphere, governance and peacebuilding hubs, and other partners to promote civic participation and youth leadership. Ideal candidates hold a master’s degree in communications, journalism, design or related fields and have at least two years of experience in digital communications, youth advocacy or social media strategy. Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of French or Spanish is an asset.
