Man United Complete Tielemans Deal as Midfield Overhaul Continues

Manchester United have agreed to sign Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa after activating his £35 million release clause. He is set to travel to Manchester for a medical and to finalise personal terms. This move follows United’s decision to abandon their pursuit of Éderson due to medical concerns. Tielemans brings extensive Premier League experience and helped Villa win last season’s Europa League, even scoring in the final. Earlier this summer, United also secured Andrey Santos from Chelsea for a reported £48 million. The 22-year-old Brazilian has signed a five-year contract after loan spells at Nottingham Forest and Strasbourg. With Casemiro’s departure and Manuel Ugarte sidelined by injury, manager Michael Carrick is reshaping his midfield and remains active in the transfer market.
