A Message to Nigerian Gen Z, Gen Alpha and the Older Generation
This is not a letter of blame. It is a call for honesty. Before we complain about today’s young people, we should ask: who raised us? Who shaped the values we inherited? Who introduced us to smartphones, social media and Western influences, then expected us to grow up untouched by them? Real change starts when every generation admits its influence. Older people should correct with intention, not anger. Gen Z and Gen Alpha should keep their confidence, but pair it with respect and humility. This is not about insults. It is about building a better society, one family and one honest conversation at a time.
