Kano Emirate Denies Claim That Emir Sanusi Failed Law Course

The Kano Emirate has dismissed a viral claim that Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II failed a course or received a carry-over in his Bachelor of Laws programme at Northwest University, Kano. A secretary in the Emir’s office said the claim is false, adding that the Emir is one point away from attaining a first-class grade, based on the Emirate’s calculations. A student and other sources at the university said examinations had not yet begun and were expected to start on Monday. They described the video behind the claim as misleading and allegedly made to cause mischief.
