ANSAA Sets Outdoor Campaign Permit Fees for 2027 Anambra Elections
Anambra State Signage and Advertisement Agency (ANSAA) has released guidelines and permit fees for outdoor political campaigns ahead of the 2027 polls. Presidential candidates must pay ₦50 million, senatorial hopefuls ₦20 million, House of Representatives aspirants ₦5 million and state assembly contestants ₦1.5 million. Local government chairmanship hopefuls will pay ₦2.5 million, while councillorship candidates face a fee of ₦100,000. The agency announced at a press briefing in Awka that all campaign materials — including posters, branded vehicles, banners, PA systems, fliers, and rallies — must be vetted by the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria before deployment. ANSAA urged strict compliance with regulations to ensure a peaceful, safe and professionally managed campaign environment across the state. ANSAA warned against unauthorized billboards, defacing opponents’ materials and posting on restricted public infrastructure. Enforcement teams will actively monitor compliance and sanction violators under state law. The agency called on all stakeholders to uphold peace, respect and responsible conduct throughout the campaign season.
