FOSAD Condemns Filthy UNN Hostels as Betrayal of Azikiwe’s Legacy, Calls for Immediate Repairs
The Forum of South-East Academic Doctors (FOSAD) has raised alarm over the shocking state of toilet facilities in University of Nigeria Nsukka hostels. Students face filthy, foul-smelling and unsafe sanitation in both male and female hostels. Such neglect not only endangers health but contradicts the founding mission of Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe to restore human dignity. FOSAD urges the Vice-Chancellor to launch urgent rehabilitation of all sanitary blocks. It also calls for a sustainable maintenance plan, a full audit of infrastructure needs and transparent use of federal funding. The body appeals to federal oversight agencies to intervene and ensure UNN remains a pride of the South-East and a model of excellence.
