In the early hours of April 23, troops of Operation HADIN KAI detained a man suspected of acting as an informant for Boko Haram/ISWAP near a military area at Damaturu’s Muhammadu Buhari International Cargo Airport in Yobe State. The suspect was spotted loitering suspiciously around a secured military location and was taken into custody around 5:30 a.m. He refused to cooperate during initial questioning and has since been transferred to the Military Intelligence Bureau for further interrogation. Security sources say the overall situation in the region remains calm yet unpredictable. Troop morale and combat readiness are reported to be high.
