Five Lagos Street-Food Spots I Think You Should Try

Five Lagos Street-Food Spots I Think You Should Try — 1 of 3
1 / 3

If you want to experience Lagos through its food, I strongly recommend trying its street-food scene. Some of my best meals in the city have come from roadside vendors that locals have patronised for years. My picks include Rukayat Olofada at Ikeja Under Bridge, Teenah Grills in Yaba, Amala Tax Office in Surulere, Lanre Spaghetti in Tejuosho, and Mara’s Peppersoup at UNILAG. Food safety matters, so I always look out for busy vendors with steady queues. High turnover usually means the food is freshly prepared and not left sitting for hours. Which Lagos street-food spot deserves more attention? I am always looking for new places to try.
