SuperSport to Broadcast 2026 Commonwealth Games Live Across Sub-Saharan Africa
CANAL+ Africa has secured exclusive SuperSport rights to air the 2026 Commonwealth Games live from Glasgow across Sub-Saharan Africa. From July 23 to August 2, subscribers on DStv, GOtv and their streaming platforms will enjoy headline events on dedicated channels with tailored coverage of Africa’s leading medal hopefuls. Over 500 African athletes are expected to compete, including Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan, Ese Brume and Chukwuebuka Enekwechi. East African distance stars, Ghana’s sprint and field contenders, and South Africa’s swimming and track talent will also feature prominently. Viewers in Southern Africa can tune in on SS Variety 3 and 4, while the rest of the region will watch on SS Commonwealth 1 and 2. SuperSport will also offer overflow streams and live updates on its digital platforms throughout the 11-day competition.
