Prayer and intercession teams often carry spiritual, emotional and physical burdens while standing in the gap for others, the church and the nation. Their work may involve consistent prayer, fasting and supporting people through private pain and difficult situations. Other church units also serve important roles, but intercessors are often called to provide sustained spiritual support during crises. This service can be demanding, yet it reflects the instruction in Galatians 6:2 to bear one another’s burdens.
