How Writing Letters to Temptation Can Strengthen Your Resolve
Writing a letter to the temptations I face can help me see their false promises clearly. Instead of treating temptation as relief, connection or pleasure, I can confront what it truly leads to and choose God’s path. I can name the specific situations that repeatedly draw me in, including pornography, fantasies about someone unavailable, or relationships that weaken my values. In each letter, I can state what the temptation promises, what it actually delivers, and why I am refusing it. Reading these letters before difficult situations can bring calm-minded clarity when temptation becomes intense. It can also reveal where my thinking is still distorted and help me build stronger resistance. I acknowledge that sex is sacred and designed by God for divine purposes.
