Ghana Premier League in Shock as Dominic Frimpong Killed in Armed Robbery
Berekum Chelsea winger Dominic Frimpong was shot dead after his team bus was ambushed by armed robbers on the Bibiani–Goaso road following their match with FC Samartex. Masked gunmen blocked the bus and opened fire. Frimpong suffered a fatal head wound and was later pronounced dead at Bibiani Government Hospital while teammates and staff fled for safety. Berekum Chelsea praised the rapid response of the police, local journalists and the town of Ashiresu for sheltering the team. The Ghana Football Association also extended condolences, vowed justice and plans to review security measures for traveling clubs.
