Ogun Police Crack Down: Cult Plot Foiled, Robbery Thwarted and Stolen Bike & Generator Parts Recovered

The Ogun State Police have arrested three suspects in Mowe, Ago-Iwoye and Warewa for cultism, armed robbery and handling stolen property. They disrupted a cult initiation, prevented a mob lynching and recovered a stolen motorcycle and generator parts valued at ₦650,000. DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi said intelligence-led patrols led to the arrest of a 26-year-old Eiye Confraternity leader and the disruption of their recruitment drive. In Ago-Iwoye, operatives foiled an armed robbery against a commercial motorcyclist, recovered both his bike and the hammer used in the attack. In Warewa, detectives uncovered a syndicate selling a rented 10kVA generator. They arrested a suspect while dismantling the equipment and recovered all parts. Commissioner CP Bode Ojajuni praised the operatives and urged residents to continue providing credible information.
