Empowering Women’s Health: IWD 2026 Post-Event Report with Venus67 & POWA Lagos
On March 9, 2026, Venus67 and the Police Officers’ Wives Association (POWA) Lagos chapter joined forces at the POWA Secretariat, Ikeja, to mark International Women’s Day. The day featured fibroids health talks, routine medical screenings, and the launch of KidCode Africa Academy for children in the police community. Medical experts led sessions on fibroid awareness, reproductive health, and pregnancy care. A dedicated team screened 142 women for blood pressure, blood sugar, and BMI. Participants received care packages and enjoyed refreshments. The KidCode Africa Academy introduction highlighted the importance of early digital skills. Media coverage included TikTok livestreams and reports on NTA News and Channels Television, reaching over 5,000 viewers. The event raised fibroids awareness, strengthened community ties, and showcased Venus67’s commitment to women’s empowerment and youth development. Attendees welcomed future collaborations.
