Ogunmodede Explains Kano Pillars’ Tactical 2-0 Win Over Nasarawa United

Kano Pillars coach Daniel Ogunmodede says his side adapted well to the pressure of playing at home after Sunday’s 2-0 NPFL win over Nasarawa United in Kano. Ibrahim Yahaya gave Pillars an early lead in the 15th minute, while Fabian Nworie added the second goal in the 65th minute. The result extended Pillars’ unbeaten run to three matches and moved them into fourth place on 18 points. Ogunmodede said Pillars used inverted wing-backs early in the match to create space in central areas, before targeting the wide areas after the break. He praised Nasarawa United as a compact and tactically sound side, but said the clean-sheet victory would ease pressure on his players and fans.
