RSUTH Opens Cardiology Department and Launches Advanced Heart-Care Services
Rivers State University Teaching Hospital has unveiled a Department of Cardiology as part of efforts to improve diagnosis and treatment for heart-related illnesses in the state. The hospital also opened cardiology wards and introduced CT coronary angiography and speckle-tracking echocardiography services. The initiatives were announced during the hospital's cardiology event themed “Strengthening Systems for Better Heart Health.” Medical professionals and stakeholders at the event highlighted the potential of the new services to strengthen specialised heart care for patients in Rivers State.
