Nigeria’s Flying Eagles have been drawn into Group B of the WAFU B U-20 Championship alongside Ghana’s Black Satellites, Burkina Faso and Togo. The regional tournament doubles as a qualifier for the 2027 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations. The draw took place at the WAFU Zone B headquarters in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, where Nigeria will renew its rivalry with Ghana after a 2-1 victory in last edition’s final. Group A features hosts Côte d’Ivoire, Benin and Niger. The competition runs from July 26 to August 9, 2026, in Yamoussoukro, with the Flying Eagles aiming for a third straight WAFU B title.
