WOMICAN Empowers Women at International Women’s Day Seminar
The Christian Association of Nigeria Women’s Wing (WOMICAN) in Anambra State’s Idemili North LGA held a seminar to mark International Women’s Day. Under the theme “Give to Gain: Empowering Women, Enriching All,” the event took place at the Idemili North LGA Headquarters hall in Ogidi on March 30, 2026. Women from various Christian denominations attended to celebrate empowerment and respect. TPL Mrs. Chinwendu Ihemtuge led a lecture on mentorship. She highlighted the mentor–mentee relationship and praised the divine mentorship of Jesus Christ. She defined mentorship as sharing knowledge and perspectives to help mentees reach their goals and urged gratitude toward mentors. Participants closed the seminar by raising cards with messages such as “Give Opportunities, Gain Equality” and “Break the Chain, End Gender-Based Violence.”
