South Africa came back from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Côte d’Ivoire in their second Group B match at the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations. Grace-Ruth Sery gave Côte d’Ivoire control with goals in the 18th and 36th minutes. South Africa responded late, with Thembi Kgatlana scoring in the 71st minute before Hildah Magaia struck a dramatic equaliser in the 98th minute. The result keeps South Africa’s quarter-final hopes alive ahead of their must-win final group match against Burkina Faso on August 4. Côte d’Ivoire will face Tanzania.
