Visa Issues Force Falconets Captain Igbokwe and Abdulwahab Out of U-20 Women’s World Cup Squad
Nigeria’s Falconets have made two late changes to their squad for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup after captain Joe Igbokwe and defender Faridat Abdulwahab were unable to obtain visas for Poland. Vivian Kachi and Alaba Olabiyi have been called up as replacements. The team has arrived in Trzebnica, Poland, and is continuing preparations for the tournament. The Falconets will play warm-up matches against hosts Poland and Korea Republic before opening their Group F campaign against Spain. China PR and New Caledonia are the other teams in Nigeria’s group.
