Army Detains 53 Suspects in Plateau State Security Sweep

Troops of the Nigerian Army have arrested 53 suspected criminals and extremist elements during coordinated operations in Plateau State. The raids took place within 24 hours in Barkin Ladi and Jos North LGAs. Soldiers stormed criminal hideouts and a suspected drug den, recovering cannabis, mobile phones and other materials. In a related action, special forces and the DSS detained dozens of suspected Sara Suka group members and seized dangerous weapons. The military also recovered stolen cattle and responded to security incidents in neighbouring states. This operation underscores the army’s resolve to dismantle criminal networks and protect civilians.

Any data on how residents felt before and after those arrests? Are there actual surveys or just official claims?
