Marseille Reportedly Consider Late Move for Arsenal Goalkeeper Illan Meslier
Marseille are reportedly considering a late move for Arsenal goalkeeper Illan Meslier before the summer transfer window closes. Meslier joined Arsenal on a free transfer after leaving Leeds United, signing a two-year deal to provide backup for David Raya. However, Kepa Arrizabalaga has been selected ahead of him on the bench in Arsenal’s early competitive matches. The French club are looking for cover for first-choice goalkeeper Jeffrey de Lange and are said to rate Meslier highly despite his lack of competitive football since March 2025. Meslier made 215 appearances for Leeds and helped the club secure Premier League promotion in 2020 and 2025.
