My Sister’s Habit of Lending Our Things to Neighbours Is Affecting Me
I am frustrated because my elder sister regularly lends our household items and foodstuff to neighbours without considering how it affects the rest of us. Our big pot, kettle and other items can be borrowed for days, leaving me unable to cook or even boil water when I need to. Some neighbours now ask for things like onions, seasoning, sachet water and gas-related items almost daily. We contribute money to buy these supplies because food is expensive where we live, yet some people who earn more than I do still depend on us while spending freely on non-essential things. I do not want to fight anyone or come across as rude, but the situation is becoming too much. I have told my sister that she needs to set boundaries, especially when people take our things without asking or return them only when it suits them. How can I handle this without causing conflict at home?
