After dismissing the crowd, Jesus explains the parable of the weeds to his disciples. The sower is the Son of Man and the field represents the world. Good seeds stand for people of the kingdom, while weeds symbolize followers of the evil one. At the end of the age, angels will gather those who cause sin and all evildoers. They will face judgment in the blazing furnace, and the righteous will shine like the sun in their Father’s kingdom. Whoever has ears, let them hear this warning and hope.
