The Oyo State Government has pulled down a two-storey building and two bungalows in the Gbenku area of Ibadan. Authorities acted after security agents uncovered a large quantity of arms and ammunition on the premises. Commissioner for Public Works and Transport Mojeed Mogbonjubola said Governor Seyi Makinde ordered the demolition to send a strong message against crime and kidnapping. He urged residents to report any suspicious activity and called on landlords to screen tenants carefully.
