1xCup 2026 Qualifiers: Joy Cometh Win 3-1 as BYT, AUX and JP Young Stars Prevail
Joy Cometh FC recorded the biggest win of Friday’s 1xCup 2026 qualifying matches, beating Eagle Star FC 3-1 at Inspire Sports Ground in Oshodi, Lagos. Nosiru Moshood Olarewaju, Adeleke Samuel and Olaniran Mubarak Olasunkanmi scored early before Eagle Star pulled one back through Ime Jackson Obuku. BYT Academical FC edged Edunz International 1-0 thanks to Yekeen Muideen’s 37th-minute goal. The result moved BYT to six points from two matches. AUX FC defeated WillyJoe-17 FA 5-3 on penalties after a goalless 60 minutes, while JP Young Stars FC beat Roro House 1-0 through Alfred Isaac Emamoke’s second-half strike. Six goals were scored across the four fixtures.
