Heartland Need Experienced Players and Clinical Strikers for NPFL Promotion — Owoeri

Former Heartland forward John Owoeri says the Owerri club must recruit at least five or six experienced players to strengthen its push for promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League. Speaking after Heartland’s 3-1 pre-season defeat to Enyimba, Owoeri said the team needs a better blend of experienced players and young talent. He also urged the club to sign quality strikers, saying goals will be crucial to their promotion chances. Owoeri backed coach Emmanuel Amuneke and called on supporters to give him the backing needed to build a competitive squad for the new season.
