Anambra NYSC: Nine Corps Members to Repeat Service Year Over Abscondment

Nine National Youth Service Corps members in Anambra have been ordered to repeat their service year after absconding from the mandatory programme. At the certificate issuance ceremony held at the Ihiala Local Government Secretariat, the state NYSC coordinator revealed that two other corps members received an extension on disciplinary grounds while five were retained by their employers. A total of 933 corps members from the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream I were formally discharged across all 21 LGAs. The coordinator urged the graduates to turn to entrepreneurship, apply skills from the SAED programme and remain active in the NYSC Foundation to support national development.
