McManaman Backs PSG and Barcelona Ahead of Arsenal for Champions League
Liverpool legend Steve McManaman has named Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona as his leading contenders for this season’s Champions League, leaving Arsenal out of his top two. McManaman praised PSG as the defending champions and highlighted Barcelona’s attacking form in La Liga. Barcelona have scored 22 goals in their opening five matches, while PSG began their campaign with a 6-1 victory over Slovan Bratislava. Arsenal started strongly too, beating Napoli 1-0 away from home through Martin Odegaard’s goal. However, McManaman believes PSG and Barcelona are better placed to go all the way.
